John in Misano!!

Hey Guys,

wanted to calm all the speculation and speak with my fans direct.

I had severe pain in my ribs from the previous Inury on Friday morning before practise and was obviously unable to make it out. But im back on the bike and im feeling a little stronger with a good nights rest last night. Fingers crossed for tomorrow and will keep you posted on my thoughts. Noticed alot in the press about me and Ashleigh's personal life and it is sad because she wanted to keep it between us.

Unfortunatly Ashleigh's grandma passed away recently and she was extremely upset and wanted to be with her family at this time so took the next flight home. I wanted her by my side this weekend as my injury was getting me down, so she flew back over to keep me going and stop all the chatter in the paddock. thankyou for understanding guys.

   Hopper.

I wish people woould just leave things to rest. People's lives must be that boring that they have to spread gossip. I love you John and Ashleigh too!! Love your big sis, Marie

Best of luck in your recovery and my condolences to you both. I'm disappointed when journalists stoop to "reporting" on others personal lives. Such discussion is in very poor taste and you have my sympathy in that regard as well.

You'd have thought the press would have better things to be doing with their time in the paddock!!
Hope all the bumps and bruises are healing..

Best wishes to both of you and your families! Damn press - private things should stay private. You are a racer and that means that you entertain us with the races and interviews but not with your privacy. All the best!

Sad to hear about Ashleigh's grief, best wishes to her and her family.

Too bad this gets blown up out of proportion by people meddling into your private life. Must have been a rotten start to the week-end. Your pace has been improving steadily on the track and I'm sure you'll be making up places and going faster during the race.

Best of luck this afternoon and, as always, give 'em hell!

Phew! Good to hear you are feeling better bud! Sorry to hear the press hounds have been causing you guys added grief you obviously don't need at the moment. I think you'll be OK once the visor is down and the green flag (sorry, light I mean) drops, we'll all be pulling for you like usual to get your flier start and I'm sure you'll be able to make your way up through the pack, remember, it's a long race. (so don't go with that soft rear again!!) LOL!. Give Ash and her family my best, you guys will be in our thought for sure. Give 'em hell tomorrow!!
