I finally have power! It came back on last night around 7:30. What a relief! There were so many trees down, including one on our neighbor's truck. There were a few on houses in our neighborhood. Our house is on 3 acres of woods so it is pretty amazing that we had no structural damage!

I agree Lisa, Traffic control was awesome. 28 mins from leaving parking space to arriving downtown at our hotel. Indy PD at every traffic signal waving us on. Didn't even stop at a light till we got downtown. Laguna could learn a lot from them, very professional.
We had a great time and it was nice meeting up with people. John had lots of support there.....Thanks all for cheering him on!!!!

17 texts before 8am, Chris? Okay, maybe only 16! I just wanted to keep you informed.

We had a hell of a ride home, through the storm, no power to get gas or food, got home to about 10 trees down on our property. I don't know how none of them hit our house! We got in at 1:30am. We have no power and are not expected to have any until Saturday. So, I had an MRI today of my knee and took the afternoon off to come to Panera to do some school work. Not getting much done so far. Haven't been on the computer since Thursday night so I had lots of e-mails, etc.

Great race, even if it was horrible weather. John did great! Had they been able to continue, he would have definitely made up some places. Was great to see everyone! It's different to Laguna but not bad. The facility is great and the atmosphere is nice. Traffic control on Sunday was awesome! They reversed traffic in one direction out of the track. We were on the highway out of town within about 30 minutes. Not too bad!

Anyway, on to school work!

I hope it is raining in Indy in the race. Then is the Kawasaki much stronger and John can ride a good result.

Got an update from Momma Hopper, John missed his final hot lap by 2 seconds but is feeling good for tomorrow.

Chris, you can come stay at the AWFUL hotel where we are staying! The wireless isn't working in the room so I am sitting in the lobby trying to finish school work! Plus the rooms are awful--those big glass windows from back in the day! Oh, well. We're here! The track was cool today...kind of weird trying to get to know it. It is definitely not Laguna!
