Published: 9 Jan 2009 Tokyo, January 9, 2009 -- Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. announced today that it has decided to suspend its factory MotoGP racing activities from 2009 season.  Amid quickly changing business environment, Kawasaki has been promptly taking countermeasures to cope with the situation. As the world economy is not likely to recover in a short period due to the major impact of the financial crisis, Kawasaki decided to suspend its MotoGP racing activities from 2009 season onward and reallocate management resources more efficiently.  Kawasaki will continue racing activities using mass-produced motorcycles as well as supporting general race-oriented customers.  Kawasaki would like to thank all the fans and all those who have forwarded us great help.  Mr.Yoshio Kawamura, the Managing Director of Kawasaki Motors Racing B.V. deeply appreciates the contribution and the dedication b...

Amid quickly changing business environment, Kawasaki has been promptly taking countermeasures to cope with the situation. Kawasaki will continue racing activities using mass-produced motorcycles as well as supporting general race-oriented customers. 
Kawasaki would like to thank all the fans and all those who have forwarded us great help.

John dont listen to nobody's like that, i'm new on here but i just wanted my best wishes for you and your family to actually reach you, dont matter to me wether you reply or not, anyways your one of the best out there so i have no doubts that i'll see you at donnington this year, i'm buying a vip ticket so hopefully i'll get to meet you, take it easy mate, Mick ok

    ooohhh man. gettin heated, I love this **** cyclopes I read this everyday as i have updates come straight through to my blackberry! the smart ones here know that any words from my mouth can be twisted so I have been told to lay low until things are sorted. But, I couldnt resist from reading this post! loved the "go support Stoner, as you seem like a MOANER!" quote! Like i have posted in a discussion, i promise you guys you will be the 1st to know whats going on as soon as get the word from the big boys.Im sure you have read stuff that is stating "hopper said this, hopper said that", but its bull...
    You know I appreciate everything and all the support from my fans. thats why I take the time and enjoy speaking with you all at the tracks and not just running off to my motorhome like an ignorant ass

    yeah, I'm such an a$$ as you put it for expecting that nearing the start of the season he can't give us a quick hello. No, he doesn't owe us anything but it would have just shown that he appreciates his fans.

    Hopper can go ride pocket bikes for all I care.. it must feel nice for you guys to support a looser who couldn't care a rats a$$ about any of you, and why should he right??

    why does john need to keep you informed of what is going on its down to him what he does. rather than sit on a computer and post what is going on he is out enjoying himself.

    I am with Alex on this
    I am a fan of John from the first time i saw him riding the red bull yamaha
    and i only hope that he will be riding again on a bike
    motoGP or on a superbikes
    for al i care it may even be a ducati
    maybe beter luck next season

    Does anyone think the bike will be anywere near competitive? Kawasaki had no intention of running and from everything that has been posted they are pretty much putting one bike out to avoid being taken to court by Dorna.
